Thinking globally, acting locally
Combining conservation education, captive breeding and species reintroduction into a new attraction. The former "Training Centre" in Aalborg Zoo will be converted into a naturalistic landscape featuring analog interactive education stations and a focus on native wetland species. The area will feature special facilities to be used by groups in the nearby edcuational building.
Phase I, including the new breeding centre for natterjack toads (Epidalea calamita), was completed in 2025 while Phase II is still in the planning stage.
