Whether you are in the early concept stages of planning an exhibit, or down in the details, we are there to help ensure your project’s success. Our goal is to craft beautiful, natural and immersive landscapes that fit within the scope, scale and context of your institution. We not only create the sketches and drawings needed to get the project started but also the visual materials needed to raise funds for the idea.
One of our key strategies is designing by reference. With a massive library of exhibits and solutions from other zoos, we can quickly identify common and rare solutions and problems and incorporate/consider them into the design. We not only reference other zoos though, but let natural ecologies, habitats and behaviour guide our work. Our extensive professional network within the zoo- and landscape design community allows us to quickly reach out to partners and affiliates and secure the knowledge needed to move the project forward.
Our niche speciality is the interplay between animals and plants. Too often, zoo design creates gorgeous looking landscapes around the enclosure, but due to practical constraints, leave the animal exhibits barren and uninteresting. We specialise in combining animals with vegetation and other living landscape features, creating habitats that are not only attractive but also functional, boosting both animal welfare and local biodiversity.
