Planning for a new South America

As zoo enclosures age, it is important to consider the long-term development of the facilities and the cohesion of the experience. With several houses and enclosures constructed independently from each other over many years, the South American section of Aalborg Zoo is in need of a long-term investment and prioritisation plan. 

We assist in sketching several different options for the space, taking into account both existing structures and maintenance requirements as well as way-finding and rainwater management. We aid in species selection, comparing attraction and conservation value with cost of both construction and maintenance, as well as crafting educational storylines to support the zoo's message.
