Having been founded in 1951 as a "heimattiergarten" with mostly northern European and domestic species, the TierPark Neumünster has developed organically within it's location in mature woodland outside the town. The new development plan was created in order to help guide and prioritise both the short- and long-term development for the park, including which areas and species to focus on and feasibility studies on extending the current polar bear enclosure to provide modern housing for this complex species.
We provided supporting conceptual design and animal husbandry expertise to Monika Fiby, the leading designer on the project, aiding in developing visual materials for both the plan as a whole as well as individual enclosures, brainstorming and sparring the best and most cost effective solutions.
